Welcome to the Memorial Middle School 8th Grade Humanities Blog!
Humanities is a one semester course for eighth grade students that explores various aspects of the fine arts. Students will study visual, and musical arts. Primary focus is given to those masters who have become known as the great artists and composers withstanding the test of time. These master artists are known as legends in their fields. The key to success in this course is to have an open mind to experiencing the arts.
In 3-4 complete sentences, describe your experiences with art up to this point. What about art do you enjoy? Where in your life have you seen or used art? Comment Due: Friday, February 4.
I like art becuse music is art and i like to listen to music. I like some pictures of art like the mona lisa. I like to draw a little bit, im not that good at it. but my favorite type of art is music.
The reason art is important in my life is ,because without it we wouldn't be as creative now. A peice of art I like is music and sculptures. Some art I like is the Mona Lisa,Starry Night, and Statue of liberty. Art can also help build buildings.
I think art is important because it lets you express yourself. You can show your feelings in your art. My favorite kind of art is music. I also like to draw though. I like art like the Mona Lisa.
My favorite kind of art is music and photography.I've seen art at school and at museums.I listen to music everyday. I also do photography whenever I get the chance because I love it so much.Art lets me be creative and imaginative.
My favorite kind of art is the music and how it tells a story. I see art everywhere I go. Music is my favorite type of art because you can piture what its telling about.
The reason i like art is because music is a part of art is shows action of the art. i have seeen art in the washingotn pavilon, in museums. there is art in puzzles and I like to do puzzles once and a while.
Art influences me because I like music. I like hip-hop/rap music. I also like to draw but I'm not very good. It gives me something to do when I'm bored!
I enjoy art, I have drawings al over my bedroom and a full porfilio as my mom calls it. All my pictures are safe in three hole punched plastic covers in a big three inch binder and my binder is almost full. My favorite art is visual art, art u can see. I enjoy making clay figures or mini sculptures and drawing. I wish i could paint like Leonardo di Caprio or Van Gogh with specail oil paints on a canvas but my mom says I need to save up my money.
My experiencens with art so far have been pretty basic. I have herd of inportnat paintings. I also know that music is a form of art. Music is my favorit form of art. I have use art for band and in art class.
My favorite kind of art is music and drawing. I play the saxophone watch a teap of art . I also have been to some museums before and seen some more famous art.
The two main types of art that i have experienced are theatre and musical. I am in the improv team and also enjoy watching other people do plays. My favorite musical person is easily Hank Green. I enjoy his wrock music and he is also a good writer of fun songs. A big part of this is that he is also relatively unknown.

My favorite type of art is anything that has to do with sports. In sport portraits you see the anger in some pictures. Art was always one of my favorite subjects

umm i have been in art classes ever sence i was in elementry. I like to draw and my grandma and grandpa are like crazy good artist. I don't really have a favorite or no any, but i would say that I like the mona lisa.

I love art because of the amazing paintings that I have seen in my life. Music is another thing that I enjoy because of playing many istrument. Even though im not a good drawer I like drawing and its a fun thing to do.
I love art I could never go a day with out it! I love to paint, play instruments, draw, sing and a lot more! to me art is everything and there are a lot of things that inspire me to love art more than I already do! I have been to an art gallery and have seen many forms of art and there are even some downtown!(the sculptures) and I listen to music everyday! Art is amazing.
i have been around art all around downtown, in school, and at the flee market and thats about it... kind of depends how you define art. i like art because of people like vincent van gogh. i have used art in humanities, in art, and sometimes just at home when im bored.
i like art because i like to listen to music and music is art so if there was no art there would never be music. and art is just something to do so everything would be boring and there would be no pictures and nothing with out art.
I Like art as in music, because i listen to music quite often. I dont like to paint or draw though. Art is still important i think because without it the world would be really boring. TV ads wouldnt be so colorful. everything would be boring...
I like art as in drawing photography and music. I have tooken pictures of Mountains and landscape. When I get board i like to draw. I come from a family who has music in there blood and its fun and you can create a song of your own. With out art life would not be as fun and color full.
My faveorite tipe of art is music but not clacical or eney other music i like the metle and punk rock and hardcore rap kind of muical arts. i also enjoy paintungs and drawings my faveorits are the optcial alutions thay are realey cool. i paint my own desines on most of my things just look at my binder and shoos
